 Congratulations to our very own Mrs. Maribel Martinez who was recently promoted to Assistant Principal here at Lynwood Middle. She is certainly a welcome addition to our administrative staff.
Dress Code Promotes Student Safety - Lynwood Middle School requires uniforms and school ID cards for all students. We encourage parents to monitor their children's clothing. Lynwood Middle School strictly enforces the dress code. The dress code is designed to provide students with a school environment free from gangs, drugs and unnecessary distractions to the learning process. Please remember, items such as hats, baggy/sagging pants and large hoop or hanging earrings are prohibited. Any apparel depicting gang affiliation is not allowed.
PARENT CONFERENCES - Parent-teacher conferences can be held throughout the school year. This is an important time for parents and teachers to discuss class work, homework, grades and test scores. These tips from the California PTA can help parents make the most of conferences:
- Get to know your child's teachers.
- Talk to your son or daughter and glance over the work he or she brings home.
- Ask questions about their school work, relationships with other students and any rules you do not understand.
- Develop a good working relationship with the teacher.
- Follow up by staying in touch with the teacher.
- Ask for more help if you do not get results.
